As a first-generation Muslim born in Australia with two young girls, it was important for me to ensure that my children were raised as proud Australian muslims. In a beautiful country we call home it was essential that my girls and family were able to embrace our culture and religious beliefs comfortably with other faiths in a multicultural environment.
In preparation for EID a few years ago, my 8 year old came home from school with the gift card she had crafted in class for her father and I. The card had an immediate impact on me. Her creativity and vision of what she believed the celebration of EID to be became an inspiration for the EID TREE. With much thought and perfection, THE EID TREE company was started.
The meaning of EID is the occasion of Celebration and happiness. The EID TREE was inspired by the islamic symbol, the crescent and the star. The concept of the green tree signifying the Olive Tree [ Quran 24:35 ]. Its mission is to create a universal message about Islam, the message of peace, hope, unity and love.
The EID TREE aims to provide homes, schools and offices around the world with a handmade symbol that reminds and signifies Islam. The EID Tree was created so that EID moments are captured, memories are made surrounded by loved ones, for many EID celebrations to come.
